Founded in Shanghai in 2017 by Tao Zhang, Ray Zhang, and Marine Bois, RooMoo Design Studio does not simply create spaces; it aspires to awaken emotions and orchestrate a symphony of unique sensations through each project. Although RooMoo Design Studio is notably recognized for its achievements in the interior architecture of the hospitality and restaurant sectors, its expertise also extends to commercial and residential projects.
In 2024, RooMoo Design Studio is delighted to announce the opening of a new studio in France near Montpellier.
At the intersection of industrialization and craftsmanship, RooMoo is committed to an approach that uniquely addresses each client's specific needs. Ray Zhang
Founder and Design director
Ray Zhang completed his master's degree in spatial design from London. He is willing to use a unique perspective to establish the connection between modern industrialization and craftsmanship, balance the possibility of applying traditional materials in new lifestyles, and achieve sustainable development and environmentally friendly space by establishing new connections, re-inventing, adding, and transforming what exists for the pleasure of living.
Tao Zhang
Founder and Design director
Tao Zhang is a designer with a master's in art and design from Tianjin, China. He has an impressive portfolio of hospitality, commercial, and office projects in China, Japan, and Australia. Tao's artistic approach to each project is unique, as he draws inspiration from the local craftmanship, the space itself, the environment, and the client's vision. His skill set and creative imagination enable him to conceptualize and create beautiful, functional, and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Marine Bois
Founder and Design director
Marine Bois is a spatial designer with a master's degree from Nantes, France. With a wealth of international experience in the hospitality industry, having worked in China, Australia, Dubai, and France, she brings a unique perspective to her work. Her designs are characterized by meticulous attention to detail and an artistic approach that takes inspiration from the volume of the space, location environment, and local culture. Each project she undertakes is a testament to her commitment to creating designs that contribute to the betterment.
